Expected Learning Outcomes

The course aims to provide students with the basic digital skills for using computer systems, in particular word processing, spreadsheet, and CAD programs. 

Course Structure

Lectures and laboratory exercises. Weekly reception to be arranged by email eva.sciacca@inaf.it

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the program planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Required Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of Windows operating system.

Mandatory.

Detailed Course Content

Basic elements of Information Technology: encoding systems, representation of information. Hardware: CPU, bus, ports, memory, Internet connections. Software: Operating Systems: Windows. Application software. 

Writing: Main Word Functions. Tables and drawings, print. Advanced features. 

Spreadsheets: The main Excel functions. The references. Formulas, tables, data analysis, formatting and security, charts and print. 

Main AutoCAD functions.

Approved: Knowledge and understanding of the main topics. Ability to create the exam test, with sufficient/excellent knowledge of the topics
