From March 2023: Assistant professor of Livestock systems, animal breeding and genetics (AGR/17) at the University of Catania. The research activity is carried out within the AGRITECH project - SPOKE 5 Sustainable productivity and mitigation of environmental impact in livestock systems.
From May 2022 to December 2022: Research grant at the University of Catania titled: "Evaluation of the effects of dietary integration with different varieties of faba bean on the productive performance of Cinisara cattle and Girgentana goats" "From field to stable: protein alternatives to soy in the organic production sector" - National project MIPAAF.
From April 2021 to March 2022: Research grant at the University of Catania titled: "Investigation of the main candidate loci for genetic improvement of growth rate and backfat deposition in Nero dei Nebrodi pigs." PSR Sicily 2014-2020 - Project REDSUS"
From November 2017 to March 2021: Ph.D. in Agricultural, Food and Environmental Science, 33rd cycle, at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A) in collaboration with the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Sicilia "A. Mirri". Research project: "Mycoplasma agalactiae and Maedi visna virus, two mastitogenic agents afflicting the sheep dairy sector in Sicily: transmission mechanisms, innovative diagnostic methods, and prevention." Supervisor: Prof. Salvatore Bordonaro. Co-supervisor: Dr. Guido Ruggero Loria.
From June 2019 to December 2019: Ph.D. internship at the Bacteriology Department of the Animal and Plant Health Agency (OIE reference laboratory for Contagious agalactia) - Surrey KT15 3NB (United Kingdom).
From April 2017 to September 2017: Research grant at the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Sicilia "A. Mirri" titled: "Development of innovative laboratory and field tests for the identification of pathogenic mycoplasma species in the Sicilian dairy chain."
From July 2016 to October 2016: Research grant at the University of Catania titled: "Genetic polymorphism and nutritional quality of goat's milk: opportunities for diversification and sustainable exploitation of dairy production" - FIR 2015 project.
