Academic Year 2020/2021

The main reserach area focuses on the study of feeding strategies, mainly for ruminants, with the potential of improving meat and milk quality. Within this broad topic, the following lines represent the research priorities:

-) effects of feeding ruminants with natural bioactive compounds on lipid metabolism and the consequent impact on meat and milk quality

-) effects of feeding animals with natural bioactive compounds on the oxidative stability of meat

-) the possibility of inferring and authenticating the feeding system of the animals by determining specific markers in meat and milk
