Graduated in Agricultural Science (cum laude) in 1993 at Agricultural Faculty of the Catania University.
Experiences:

- From October 2018: Associate Professor at the Department of Agriculture, Food and Environment (Di3A), University of Catania.

- From January 2018 to May 2018: Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Agriculture Economics and Agribusiness (AEAB) at University of Arkansas (USA) where he deepened the research methods on consumer behavior through Experimental Auctions techniques.

- From 15-01-2015 to the 30-04-2015: Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University (USA) where is collaborating with faculty in the areas of food policy, consumer research and other agricultural economics topics.
- From 11-10-2014 to 07-11-2014: Visiting Research Scholar in the Center for Systems Integration and Sustainability at Michigan State University (USA) where he participated in the course Introduction to the Models, Clustering and Graphical Representations for Social Network Analysis Social Networks Seminar/CEP991B held by Prof. Kenneth Frank. He also met with faculty in Fisheries and Wildlife, Sociology and throughout the university who are engaged in similar pursuits.
- January 2013: Guest Scientist at Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO), Halle (Saale), (GERMANY), where conducted some steps of the research on “Tracing the Evolution of LEADER Local Action Groups by means of Social Network Analysis A Romanian Italian Comparison”.
- From 31 December 2011: Researcher at the Department of Agri-Food and Environmental Management Systems (DIGESA), University of Catania.
PhD in “Agricultural Economics” in the Faculty of Economy at University of Catania (Italy), discussing a thesis on “Economic Valuation of Agricultural Landscape in North-Eastern of Etna”.
In connection with issues, relating to the Scientific Sector AGR01 he has done several research whose results are published in chapters of books, monographs and articles in national and international journals.
