Giuseppe Ezio Manetto

Associate Professor of Agricultural machinery and mechanization [AGRI-04/B]
Membership Section: Mechanics and Mechanisation

Born on 2nd September 1965, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering on 2nd April 1992.
In April 1999 he obtained his PhD and from March 1999 until December 2002 he had a research grant.
Since 30 December 2005 he is confirmed researcher in the scientific disciplinary sector AGR/09–Agricultural Mechanics.
He was member of examination board for the selection of research grants in scientific disciplinary sector AGR/09–Agricultural Mechanics and ING-IND/15–Drawing and Methods of Industrial Engineering and he was referee for the technical-scientific and economic evaluation of research and innovation projects admitted to the Piedmont POR-FERS 2007-2013 financing program.
His teaching activity regarded the course in “Agricultural Mechanics”, “Principles of Agricultural Mechanics”, “Computer Science” and “Applied Physics” on the degree courses of the Faculty of Agriculture; at present he has the responsibility for teaching the course in “Machines for the green area management”.
His continuous research activity, involving collaboration in various MIUR, MIPAF, Regional and University research projects regards various aspects of agricultural mechanics. In detail:

  • post-harvest processing of fruit and vegetables;
  • safety aspects of agricultural machines and agricultural and food plants;
  • sod-seeding of durum wheat in comparison with traditional methods;
  • uniformity of plant protection product application;
  • transportable dairy product and milking plants for sheep and goats;
  • mechanical harvesting of oranges;
  • machines for fresh-cut vegetables;
  • mechanical distribution of arthropods;
  • biogas production.
